Today is release day for Sydney Logan’s novel, Mountain Charm! To celebrate, we have two awesome giveaways, including a signed copy of Mountain Charm and a $100 Amazon Gift Card!
At the age of thirteen, Angelina Clark followed in the footsteps of her ancestors by casting an Appalachian love spell, which promised she would blossom into a beautiful and gifted woman who would find her true love. A young Angelina had been thrilled to participate in the sacred ritual, but through the years, her father’s untimely death and her mother’s failing health have shaken Angelina’s magical faith to its core. As her twenty-first birthday approaches, she refuses to practice her supernatural gifts and no longer believes in the love charm. That is, until Dylan Thomas arrives on her front porch.Dylan, a Nashville writer, travels to the mountain town of Maple Ridge to unearth the family’s supernatural secrets. While her clairvoyant mother is convinced that Dylan is her daughter’s soul mate, Angelina refuses to see the nosy reporter as anything more than a nuisance. Despite their constant bickering, sparks fly. Dylan admits he feels strangely drawn to Angelina and is in no hurry to leave Maple Ridge or publish his magazine article. Fearful that his emotions are being influenced by the spell, a stubborn Angelina struggles to fight her own budding attraction to the reporter. The two inevitably grow closer just as her mother’s health begins to deteriorate, and Angelina is faced with the possibility of selling the family’s music shop to pay the mounting medical expenses. Desperate to help the woman he loves, Dylan explores his own family tree and finds support from an unlikely source. Can he finally prove his love is real—spell or no spell? A story filled with love, friendship, family, and just a hint of Appalachian magic, Mountain Charm will leave you spellbound.

He Watches Me by Cynthia Sax Release Day Promo

Cynthia Sax –
 He Watches Me,
Part One of The Seen Trilogy

She desires to be seen. He wants to watch.

Anna Sampson has a naughty secret. Every night, she slips into her neighbor’s yard and swims naked in his pool. She fantasizes that the dynamic young billionaire watches her nightly nude aquatics, his brilliant green eyes gleaming with lust.

She discovers this isn’t pure fantasy. Gabriel Blaine has been watching her via his security cameras, and now that he has returned to L.A., he doesn’t plan to stop. That’s all he wants—to watch. Anna knows she shouldn’t allow him and she certainly shouldn’t want more, but she craves Blaine’s attention, needing his gaze fixed on her body.

Part One of The Seen Trilogy

PG Rated Excerpt (possible offensive words: breasts):

I’m like a ghost. I drift aimlessly through the Leigh’s empty Beverly Hills mansion, my bare feet slapping against the painted gray concrete floor, shoes not allowed in the sprawling modern bungalow.

I’m not dead. I move the oversized, never-been-opened book staged on the chrome coffee table an inch to the right. I’m breathing. I flick one light on and turn another light off, maintaining the minimum required amount of illumination. I have a physical form. I rearrange some of the catalogues, creating the illusion that they have been recently placed on the modern glass table, all of the stores featured priced out of a new graduate’s budget. But I’m not living, not truly, and no one sees me … which is how I like it.

I tilt my head back and study one of the many life-sized portraits of Suzanna Leigh hanging on the walls. No one would dare look at Mrs. Leigh with disapproval. The plastic surgeon’s wife, with her blond hair, blue eyes, and big breasts, is the epitome of L.A. beauty. I’m not. I have brown hair, brown eyes, and a flat chest. I pluck at my faded pink camisole, the garment clinging to my small breasts, and I continue my stroll.

The sheer silver curtains billow in the night breeze, the windows cracked open in an attempt to alleviate the stifling heat. I can’t afford to turn the air-conditioning on. My agreement with the Leighs is to pay for the upkeep and utilities while they jaunt around Europe, straightening noses and increasing bra sizes. In exchange, I get a free place to stay.

A trickle of perspiration runs down my bare nape, my constantly frizzy hair pulled up into a ponytail. The digital wall clock buzzes midnight, and I should return to the tiny bedroom I’ve been assigned. Instead, I wander to the back door, seeking lower temperatures.

I slip my feet into a pair of scuffed baby blue flip-flops and slide the door open, venturing into the darkness. The scent of newly cut grass teases my nostrils, the gardeners having mowed during the day while I was at work.

Work. I sigh, looking out at the covered pool, wishing to swim, that indulgence denied to me by the Leighs. Who gets fired from a charity? I suspect this will be my fate tomorrow, my inability to raise donation money straining even my boss’s easygoing personality.

I impulsively grab the towel I had left drying on the deck railing and meander across the modern-art-littered lawn toward the wrought-iron gate, unconsciously moving closer to the property I’ve sworn never to trespass onto again. The soothing sound of falling water calls to me.

I gaze between the ornately crafted bars separating me from nirvana, the gate locked. Water cascades down rock into a naturally shaped pool, the feature blending into the purposefully wild backyard.

Only the pool is lit. The two-story house, its design as classic as the Leighs’, is contemporary, and is shrouded, as always, in darkness. I’m not surprised. I’ve seen Gabriel Blaine, its elusive and surprisingly young owner, only once in the three weeks I’ve been house-sitting.

That once made an impact. I had been fiddling with the finicky front door lock when the billionaire exited from a long black limousine. He paused, turned his head toward me, and our gazes met, his eyes brilliant green and hard, so very hard. Even the lock of ink-black hair falling over his forehead failed to soften his sharp chin and pronounced cheekbones.

My keys dropped from my lifeless fingers to the concrete steps and I froze, unable to breathe. Blaine’s lips twitched and he inclined his head toward me as though I had confirmed something he’d long suspected. I, idiot that I am, nodded back, agreeing to what? I don’t know.

Whatever I had agreed upon seemed to satisfy Blaine. He moved like a predator toward his rarely used mansion, his stride smooth and almost graceful. He disappeared into his home, closing the door behind him, and I haven’t seen him since.

I won’t see him today either, and it would be a shame not to use his gorgeously cool swimming pool. Trespassing is against the law but I am too much my father’s daughter to allow little things like laws stop me. I toss my towel over the fence and climb over the wrought iron, thanking my misspent youth on the rough streets of Detroit for developing this handy skill.

I pick up the towel and I pad to the edge of the pool, my flip-flops bending the grass as I walk. I pause and look around me, having the peculiar feeling someone is watching me.

Three of Hearts & Three of Spades by W. Ferraro Blog Tour

Book Description:
Mae Turney is searching for the type of life and happiness she has never known but has only dreamed about. She's fortunate enough to find a great opportunity to live in an exterior apartment of a beautiful lake house in a small town in Vermont. When she realizes the apartment and scenery are not the only gorgeous appeal but the home owner, Seth Finn, is as well, she puts it all on the line for the chance at love. When she becomes comfortable and confident in her own skin and sexuality, Mae realizes that this place and this man is exactly what she came looking for. Knowing Seth and his three children are as special as they come, Mae bets the house, and prays she and her gamble are enough.

Book Description:
Dylan Cross is the type of man that enjoys everything female, and enjoy it he does, but always on his terms. However, his terms are pushed to their limit when Natalie Parker proposes an offer; teach her and her delectable little body, all about sex and desire. There is one catch. He has to play the part of Natalie's madly in love boyfriend for her dying mother. Dylan signs on, and finds that separating the two is harder than he thought. Natalie's days of shyness and lack of confidence come to a quick close as she learns what her body craves and demands in the bedroom. Soon, Dylan becomes the student as Natalie teaches him things he didn't even know he wanted. Will Hamden's notorious playboy, bachelor be able to keep calling the shots, or will he find that, he, himself, is just another player at the card game of life, as we all are?

Reviews:
I received these books a few days ago to read for the tour.  That was completely my fault as I didn't tell the tour coordinator I hadn't received the ARC's yet.  So, I started reading!  I read both of these in two days.  They're very good and were easy flowing books.  The stories are ones that you can just picture in your mind and feel like you're one of the characters in the story.

I will say for both of these stories you could feel like you were right in the small town of Hamden following these characters around, getting to know each of them, and wanting to learn more about them.  In the stories the two main male characters are best friends. Seth & Dylan have been friends for over 30 years and are not afraid to call each other out.  Seth made a HUGE mistake in Three of Hearts and Dylan was not above calling him out once Seth calmed down from his tirade.  In Three of Spade, Seth was pretty easy on Dylan compared to the other way around, but he did make sure to tell Dylan to go after what he really wanted.  Both men being stubborn fools and not wanting to see the loves of their lives right in front of their faces needed that extra push.

Now for the ladies.  Mae and Natalie are awesome female leads.  I would jump at the chance to be in their friend group.  The support and kindness they show each other are exactly what I look for in my personal friends.

Each of these stories has some life drama that happens to split the couples apart.  The real question is, will they fight for the loves of their lives, or will they let them walk away?

Teaser from Playing With Fire by Ashley Piscitelli

Unedited:

Once we got back to my house, I didn’t want to move. I called and ordered a pizza before falling down on the couch. Maddy was walking over to sit down; I could tell she was exhausted.
She tripped over my book bag that I just dropped when I came in and fell down right on top of me. She looked up at me and started laughing. I loved that sound and she didn’t do it nearly enough. I brushed a stray hair out of her face and behind her ear.
I could tell just looking at her that she wanted me to kiss her, that it was me she wanted, she never looked at Chris like that. I truthfully couldn’t resist right now, I leaned up to kiss her. The second my lips touched hers, I felt the electricity move through me, it was like this whenever she touched me.
Her lips were amazingly soft. I took the risk and tried to deepen the kiss, and she let me. I gently took her
lower lip between my teeth and pulled on it, she let out a moan. Being with her like this was what I wanted since September, a knock on the door startled us both and we jumped apart. Since when do those deliverymen get here this quick?

Conflict by M.S. Willis Cover Reveal & Giveaway

Plot Description
***Content Warning - This is a new adult fiction with mature themes. It contains graphic sexual situations, mature language and explicit description of sexual violence.***

Conflict is the second book in the Control series. This description contains spoilers for those who have not read book one in the series, entitled Control.

Private Investigator, Paige Stone has always appreciated the independence of her life, however, her world was pitched upside down when she and her roommates were attacked and nearly killed. As a result of the attack by Chris, Paige now finds herself dependent upon Daemon Pierce for a place to live as she hides from Chris. Paige has never lived with a man before and demands that Daemon consider her a "roommate" only, even though it goes against her own desires.

Strong-willed and arrogant, Daemon Pierce has been working hard to protect Paige from Chris and from herself. Letting go of his life as a womanizer, Daemon tries to prove to Paige that she can trust him, even though he refuses to enlighten her as to his past. Daemon struggles to comply with Paige's ridiculous demand to be "roommates" and quickly finds that he has fallen in love with the girl who does nothing but push him away.

Paige's emotional journey once again places her in dangerous situations and when secrets are revealed and decisions are made, Paige has no choice but to look deep within herself to see if she can finally trust the man who will stop at nothing to save her.

Excerpt:

“Mornin’.”

The only sound which followed my greeting was the slurping from me sipping on my coffee. Daemon didn’t move, didn’t speak, and didn’t react in any way. I was at a loss as to what to do. Do I greet him again? Did I speak too quietly the first time? I wasn’t sure. I stood silently waiting for Daemon to respond. After a few moments, he groaned before raking his hand over his face. His eyes were still closed and he placed his hands on the edges of the counters beside him as he stretched out his large frame. I was stunned by his glory. He was no longer hunched over and I had an unobstructed view of his body. If ever there was a perfect man; a man who was the epitome of masculinity and carnal strength, Daemon was it. My adherence to the ‘roommates only’ policy was already coming unglued and the man hadn’t yet voiced a single word.

His beautiful blue eyes finally cracked open and as they met mine, Daemon smirked. “Your mouth is open.”

What? I was looking at him with a questioning wrinkle between my brows when his words finally sunk in. I slammed my jaw shut and my face must have turned purple from the embarrassment. I could not believe I just literally stared open-jawed at him. There was no gracious way to get out of this. I reverted back to my earlier tactic and rolled my shoulders back while holding my chin up. I was absolutely mortified at that moment, but I wasn’t about to show it.

“Very funny, Daemon. I was yawning…silently…and for a long time. There’s no reason for you to get a big head over that.”

Synopsis:

Amanda goes through her young life having to survive experiences that nobody should have to. She was always quiet and found it easier to keep to herself, rather than share herself with the world. She struggled with being open and talking to anyone about what was invading her life, in her heart she believed it was much easier to keep her secrets to herself. Sometimes sharing your deepest and darkest with someone you love is the only way to free yourself.
Will she ever be able to find that someone? Do the trials of her adolescent make her stronger in the end? Or will her world be turned upside down and she’ll be crushed under the weight of her love for another? Can she recover from the unthinkable? Will Amanda be able to pull though and find the one thing she’s always longed for and never really had…love?

About the author:

I live in a small New England town that is North of Boston. There I live with my loving and supportive husband and my two young boys. I find most of my inspiration in other authors. I also have music, my amazing family, friends, and of course my awesome co-worker at that all inspire me. I really enjoy reading, writing, taking pictures, massages, coffee, chocolate, ice cream, and beer & wine. I also run a book blog on Facebook that’s called Talkbooks. I love to spend any free time I get playing with my boys, teaching them, taking family trips, spending time with my loved ones, going on quiet dates with my hubby, and crazy fun nights out with my girlfriends.

My first book is called Never Say Never. I self published this book on March 21, 2013. Very soon after hitting that publish button on Amazon I came to realize that my book needed a little more editing and needed to be revised a bit. So after some serious consideration I decided to take the book down and do what needed to be done to it. It has taken me a bit longer than I would have liked but some things got in the way…..well that’s life for ya! I have worked full force on it so once I get it edited it should be back up and available for purchase. My hope is sometime in July. Fingers crossed on as soon as possible! This book is a cliff hanger so be aware of that. There is a part 2 to follow and that I am hoping to have it done by fall/winter 2013.
Also in honor of me re-release I have decided to redesign my cover
