Book Description:
Samantha Rousseau is used to getting her hands dirty. Working toward a master’s degree in wildlife biology while helping take care of her sick father, she has no time for celebrity gossip, designer clothes, or lazy vacations. So when a duchess from the small country of Lilaria invites her to dinner, Samantha assumes it’s to discuss a donation for the program. The truth will change the course of her life in ways she never dreamed.

Alex D’Lynsal is trying to keep his name clean. As crown prince of Lilaria, he’s had his share of scandalous headlines, but the latest pictures have sent him packing to America and forced him to swear off women—especially women in the public eye. That is, until he meets Samantha Rousseau. She’s stubborn, feisty, and incredibly sexy. Not to mention heiress to an estate in his country, which makes her everyone’s front-page news.

While Sam tries to navigate the new world of politics and wealth, she will also have to dodge her growing feelings for Alex. Giving in to them means more than just falling in love; it would mean accepting the weight of an entire country on her shoulders.

Book Review:
This book reminds me of the move The Princess Diaries starring Anne Hathaway.  It was one of my favorite movies when it released it's sequel too.  This story starts at a college in the US of a girl (Samantha) who's working on her Masters Degree and taking care of her sick father.  One day as she's trying to get into the University library she runs into a crowd that's gathered for a Prince and a Duchess from a country she's barely heard of and she can not get into to do her research.

Fast forward a bit Samantha is asked to have dinner with the Duchess.  Sam thinks the dinner is about the observatory she works in for the University and the Duchess wanting to donate money toward the program or that she may have questions about the program.  Joining Duchess Rose for dinner has Samantha finding out she's a Duchess herself through her mothers family line.

I love royalty stories like this.  I've always had a fairy tale that one day I'd wake up and someone would be there to tell me I've inherited some silly title because I was next in line to receive it through my ancestral background.  No such luck...but like I said it's a fairy tale.

I think the author did a great job with this challenging story.  One day you're American and the next you're the inheritor to millions of dollars, lots of land, a title, and have the hots for the Crown Prince.  Wow!  What a life change.  Talk about stress.  And I didn't even mention language barriers, wardrobe changes, political responsibility, and a dying father to boot!

The exchanges between Samantha and the Crown Prince are sweet, endearing, and will have you swooning for your own Prince!

I think this book is a 5/5 and definitely recommend it to you.
